Nov 8, 2017 – Cold rain & rhodoendrons

Tentsite, some gap, 17.3

Well attempting round 2 of cold rainy night by water and rhododendrons. I just ate the most I have since I left the hostel, and my stomach is making loud protests. Indy did great today, and is patient to my crazy demands… especially with the tent. Poor kid got the hammock situation all squared away and now he has to be enclosed in a tiny mesh box with me. It is warmer tho! Hoping this tent manages to not make it rain on the inside, but we shall see.
Strangely I have a neighbor, who’s accent is so thick I can’t understand him. So many section hikers in this state it’s crazy. Even crazier they choose to be outside in this weather. It at least hasn’t poured on us all day like it predicted, but the last PUD stuck us in a freezing cloud of mist and rain. Left too late today to make it to my original campsite goal. Hoping some nice weather days are in our future…. no more freezing rain pleaseeeeee.
