Monday, Columbus Day, Gravel Springs hut, Shenandoah Park
18 miles today. Super super hot and humid, brutal with climbs back into 3k. Some guys were really nice and carried Indys extra food and pack seeing I had just gotten a heavy shipment and couldn’t fit it all in the new pack. A group of 5 of us are going into town tomorrow, although the one girl seems ticked, no idea why, so who knows. But excited to take a 0! 15 to town. Hope there’s no bear issues tonight 😓
No service either, so no talking to High Noon. It’s been such a weird thing, but harmless at least. Keeps me daydreaming that’s for sure.
All in all actual trail today! Just give me cooler weather and maybe we can start enjoying this again.
