Getting to stay with Krystyna and her family was amazing. They took such good care of us, I can’t believe how much they took us under their wings. It was so good to see her and she is killing the parenting thing for sure. Out of everyone so far, she is the only one that made me want to cry when we parted. Such kindness and giving.
Then right after a few men took Indy & my photograph and offered to send it to me.
We hustled to water (there is barely any and my lips are about to fall off from dryness) and we made it up 3 peaks to our stop on black mountain, with really cool views of the NYC skyline.
What a perfect way to end a great day, seeing the beautiful lights in the distance.
If you had said ‘in 16 years you will be on top of a mountain taking in views of the NYC night skyline, and seeing the ‘towers’ lit up again, I sure wouldn’t believe you. But it sure feels good to be up here.
Worst part: there are these weird calluses forming holes in my left foot. Doesn’t feel good and I keep avoiding digging it out. Ugh
I’d like to remember: the feeling of fullness from getting helped. And to speak slowly, take your time.
Any vents: really wish my face would clear up. It’s better since using to wipes and the cooler weather but esh not close to what t was. I really wish I was more confident, I looked great and never felt it.
