I watch my breath slowly form into small clouds that as quickly as they form, disappear into the darkness to my right. Only the light from this MacBook, and my new ‘big’ purchase of an LED lamp from Walmart are illuminating the truck bed. I’ve got a paper bag of cheap honey whiskey next to me, while the radiator is attempting to choke out heat behind me. A candle that smells more like an old apple then ‘mulled cider’ is to my right, and in front of me, the open tailgate faces a gurgling creek accompanied by the silence of the stars.
