First day back out after a 0. Couldn’t of come at a better time, we were exhausted. Indy had awful diarrhea all day yesterday and was very lethargic. I’m so lucky abbey was around to give us a supply of antibiotics which I started him on today. Then another girl in our group has a doctor friend that will send us IB profin for him. Another person gave us some dog food that seems to be the best I’ve seen so far. It really seems as if the stars are aligning to have him be successful on this trip, so each day is one moment at a time, one lean to at a time, one blaze at a time. Of course I stress about putting him through too much, and for what? He seems vaguely indifferent about it all. I can only hope I get him feeling better and go from there.
After a sunny, hot humid day, we covered about 13 miles from our shuttle drop off. I could barely walk after that huge breakfast from Shaws!
After dinner the thunder rolled in and has started to rain, to bed we retreated. I still need to get this tarp figured out. It works, but leaves no room for anything. Practice makes perfect.
2 more days til Caratunk
